Devlog 0.0.4 : Feelings of this Game
Hey Everyone, ๐
Hoping you're doing well. ๐ฟ
Today, I want to share what this game represents and the emotions behind its creation !
There are times when you feel like doing nothing. You have no idea what to do for the day. You feel a deep void. You're too tired to go out, too bored to binge-watch (as you're aware of all the repetitive plot lines), and too drained to play a game (as your body doesn't want to perform those same motor functions with your fingers or you lack the patience to sit through the loading or cutscenes). You feel like falling into something and not coming back. You want to do something, but your mind and body feel tired or rebellious. Your neurons scream for something new, not the same repetitive routines.
Trust me, this happens to all of us. In this fast-moving world with an abundance of everything, we often feel overwhelmed, and our energy gets depleted. There's nothing wrong with feeling this way.
I have tried to embody that feeling in this game. ๐ฎ
As you fall into a deep void, a box lights up, then another. These lights represent a belief in oneself, lighting the path ahead. The revolving sun signifies that it's just a phase, and everything will get back to normal (and then perhaps back to the dark, and so on).
This is why I created this short game. I created this game when I was experiencing this feeling and didnโt know what kind of game I wanted to make. It has helped me during times when I felt like doing nothing.
Now, I don't know if it will help you with that feeling, but I am sure it will take you somewhere, as it has taken me.
The trick to tackling that situation is to deviate your thoughts from that feeling but peacefully.
Straight from my heart, I hope it reaches yours. โค๏ธ
